There are many players that would deserve to be up there and many that dont deserve to be up there. ...if that list means anything to you, that is.

having a specific number of hrs on different popular maps doesn't make much sense because ironman was up there and he mainly plays bridge

I guess the Top 15's algorithm isnt proper then, at the time i thought it worked pretty good.

Lets make the algorithm better together then? Tell me what you think people need to be in it, how much honor, goals, leader points etc etc...

i think it is good as it is. it is not like it is very important. it's decently accurate. but maybe you can put more stress on map diversity.

dark i dont think honor matters. unless we are going into points then mainly the higher honors will have it down due to the points earned to GET that honor. Smile

as killa said its system is decently accurate, but some things may need work.

its should be points (both leader/goal) FR, time played (due to right now some people are only on it due to reconnecting, or short playing times) and HUGE map diversity.

Map diversity and playing time will be a bit hard to figure out, due to mainly bridge and pipe/urban are on. lol, and for playing time some people just dont have the time to be on a server for a straight hour or so. :/

How bout...

Map diversity: 1 map can not take up 90+%?
Session Legnth/Reconnecting: Avg Session time must be 15+min? If rounds are 5 mins long that's like 3 rounds. Doesn't seem 2 long.

maybe 30 min sessions. and map should be at like 80% to spread it out more.

how does that sound?

less than 90% i would say 80-85%

im all for the map diversity but if urban is the only server available or bridge,
i will play urban so i could have like 95% urban but also have plnty of hours on all maps
just alot more on urban, it should be an amount of time on each different maps and not a percentage

and to stop map whoring, what about if it was worked so that if u have like 10,000 kills on bridge and u need 3,000 each of the popular maps like hosp, urban, csar, pipe, bridge, etc to be considered, then your overall place is calculated by that amount from each map
so for top 15 you would only take into account a percentage of the kills that are imensly greater than any other map, this way if someone plays one map alot and has a much higher fragrate on that said map than they have on any other map
only a percentage of those kills are counted so it dosent have a big impact on the overall fragrate so it is more well rounded and fair


using say.. 30% the amount of kills form the main map so it dosent affect the overall fragrate to much

eg:

Bridge Crossing: 10,000 kills 2,500 deaths fr:4
30% of bridge: 3,000 kills 750 deaths
Urban Assault: 3,000 kills 1,500 deaths fr:2
Hospital: 3,000 kills 1,500 deaths fr:2


overall fragrate: 3.2 (counting all kils form the whored map)
overall fragrate: 2.4 (but with only 30% of the kills from whored map)

what u think, isnt this fair?

if you're trying to show the best top 15 players in map diversity you should quite simply use the aaotracker algorithm for the player ranks, and then use fragrate for the sorting?

btw 3000 kills on a map takes a while Ninja...
