RG server is always on normal mode. f. and nifty too.
Stop going to [S.F] server is laggy anyways.
We should petition Jimbo to try to run normal weapons on SN^^ since is a really good server as far as lag.
Those [S.F] guys have become just a bunch of stuck-up punks so they may not care about Dratt or the community.

You right, Normal weapons is more fun than mods all the time.
However, quitting is not the answer, just support those servers not using mods.

2.8.5 has lots of servers using mods too. My favorite is CFL (lagless)and is usually running mods. Also, most servers on 2.8.5 are empty so you'll find similar problems.

I play for fun and these days, I don't have much time to chill in a server until people show up. I'm in DoJ and we have a pretty damn good server ourselves that runs no mods but nobody plays in it. I have 3.0 pre-installed just in case 2.8 has the same problems. I've been in the same community here (given, I've taken lots of time off in between) for damn near 5 years now and have never had this problem until I just started playing again- It must have rubbed off from 2.6 or something.

Sorry, not trying to hijack the topic- continue Very Happy

The only way our server got people on a other map is by switching it to a other map when our server is full .. and always a few will leave .. around 6 people .. but then sooner it fills up .

I don't play AA anymore, but I think it would be great to see one last update, as this update is already half-done. But I think this update should also take care of mAAp which might make AA live a little longer.
mAAp maps are maps just like the others, some are even funnier. I don't know why those wouldn't be tracked.

I just voted to keep DRAAT alive Smile

Well, I dunno if 2.5 is dying yes or no. Haven't been around long enough to see 2.3 die.

What I do know, however, is that there is no alternative within AA for Mac and Linux users beyond 2.5. It simply doesn't exist.

So will 2.5 die ? Dunno, hard to tell, but I can predict that it will be the Mac and Linux guys who will keep using it till the end.

Hence; that end may still be a long way in the future.

Looking at our clan, 80% are Mac and Linux users. 20% Use Windows.

This is my sexy reliable tool that i vitally need for my sexy mac AA needs... and as the owner of XN-Host.com I rely on DrAAT for a good percentage of my new customers. Draat is a great tool it just needs a little perking up.

2.5 rulez! ^^
As Legio said, it's the only way for linux and mac users to play AA.
Moreover,DRAAT is a good project, and a part of the 2.5 community.

The only reason I have 2.5 on my windows is cause I have it on my Mac and I don't want to play 1 version 1 week and then the other week just the other one.

i love 2.5 no doubt

but about draat

more updates would be cool

and ot be honest i prefer aaotracker.com

it looks better and the site is better built

so i would say turn draat to the way aaotracker is just the way dont copy it Very Happy

draat sucks..its like a police station for 2.5

i say scrap this whole site lol..no not really but make it like www.aaotracker.com or even like www.all-aa-tracker.co.uk

v2.5 will be dead soon so u wont need to worry about this site..not that any1 does bc nothing has been updated.

Yea, over-moderate this site, lock 30% of the threads and make it look like it was made in the early 90's. Or you could make it look like all-aa-tracker and have few features and 50x more gloss and contrast than what's needed on any site. Either way it's a brilliant choice and I'm glad kevman put down his drugs long enough to submit his idea.

Ok I'll make a serious repsonse I guess, lol.

Scandii can prob remember this, I dunno who else will. There was a time when DRAAT didn't have a forum. DRAAT didn't have a forum because the MR Clan site was already the hub for 2.5. When there was something to talk about outside of their own clan forum, they went to MR's.

Well MR and iX formed v3 and went to 2.8, and I didn't think it would be nice to spam their site with 2.5 drama anymore, so DRAAT got a forum. Why do people like to post on 2.5 community sites? Well they know that most of 2.5 isn't registered on their own clan forum, so if you want to reach a larger audience, a 2.5 community site was the way to go. Since most of 2.5 was already registered there, you'd reach a much larger audience there than if you just posted on your own site.

But like Spanky pointed out, DRAAT doesn't use a heavy moderation policy like AAOTracker (and some others) do. That's because if we did, this wouldn't be a community site, it would appear more like a off-shoot of the Ak4 site. Like AAO25.com, it would appear that the site is basically a close circle of friends trying to impose their views on 2.5 as a whole.

So, instead of going down that road, we decided it was best if we only moderate certain kinds of posts.... porn, pokes, cheats, etc. Now if a level playing field isn't for you, that's fine. But don't blame DRAAT for your inability to defend your or your clans actions on the site. Maybe, instead of blaming DRAAT for allowing everyone to express their [sometimes terrible] views, you should learn to either:
  • Not fuck up so much where people have a reason to post shit about you or your clan.
  • Get better at stating your own views/side of the argument

If you choose one of those options, theres no reason to hate on DRAAT forum for giving everyone a fair shake when it comes to posting their views. If their views are fucked up/retarded, its normal for most of 2.5 to make fun of them for it. If their views have merit, then most of 2.5 sides with them (unless your rebuttal/defense makes sense as well, then 2.5 sides with you).
