Actually, I would like to appeal to Johnny to release the source code so others may continue 25Assist; I always felt it was an excellent tool and it facilitated people wanting to play 2.5.

It has great functionality as a dashboard for 2.5 and everything to do with it (the links to DRAAT, battletracker, TS, and so on).

It's most likely not coming back.

As I understand it, the code is GPL, so that would imply there's nothing holding you back.

I wish I were a programmer or IT-guru, but I ain't, but I am sure I am not the only one who'd be much obliged if someone were to revive 25Assist. It's a great tool!

Decompile , browse , test editing , compile again......and see the result.

If you have 1 host to upload the files (pb , maps ,etc) you will need to do some homework linking all again Wink

I'm in a VisualBasic course rite now, so I can probably understand the code a little moar than I did the last time I looked at it (RealBasic is similar).

But the copy protection on RealBasic is a pain in the ass (at least the OSX version). If I edit the code with the demo version, Assist will only run for like 5 min before quitting and saying it was built with a trial version (do not want).

If I can get it to work though I'll prob get it hosted on DRAAT, XN-Host has made offers to host 25Assist before and is eager to host it on its network.

i have unlimited download and unlimited bandwidth and am a deploy provider.

as far is i know this only affects mac users,as 2.5 pc and linux version server browser still works.
